Making Cities Liveable Conference
The 11th Making Cities Liveable Conference will be held 16 and 17 July 2018 at Pullman on the Park, Melbourne. The conference will continue to explore the liveability of our metropolitan and regional urban centres with an emphasis on who is leading the renewal, the importance of collaboration and co-design and what aspects are important to implement strategies that result in sustainable economic, social and environmental successes.
Discount Registration for Safe Cities when also attending the Making Cities Liveable Conference
Register for the Making Cities Liveable Conference and receive a discounted registration rate for the Safe Cities Conference. Registration should be made through the Making Cities Liveable Conference website. Do not register for each conference separately (discounts will not be allocated).
Registration to the Safe Cities Conference includes attendance to all Conference sessions and keynotes, morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas, Conference materials including handbook and the on-line book of abstracts, certificate of attendance. Post Conference receive access to the Delegate Resource Centre including presenter podcasts.
Concession registrations are available for full–time students and unwaged delegates only.
Once your registration has been received a confirmation email and tax invoice will be issued. All accounts must be paid in full 30 days from the invoice date or 10 business days before the Conference start date, whichever comes first. The organisers reserve the right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts any time after 30 days from date of tax invoice being sent.
All registrations received after Monday 2 July 2018 must be paid in full by credit card only. If payment is not received prior to the Conference, access will be granted only after full payment is made via credit card or cash onsite.
The Conference Committee understand that circumstances can change. At any point prior to the event you are welcome to contact the Conference Secretariat in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge. A full refund less a $150 service fee will be issued for cancellations received on or before 1 June 2018.
Registration cancellation received between 2 June 2018 and 18 July 2018 will receive a 50% refund on the registration fees. No refunds will be issued after 19 July 2018. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.
All accommodation bookings will be subject to the individual hotel cancellation policy. Please contact the Conference Secretariat for the hotel cancellation policy.
The Conference organisers reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. “The organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the Conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure.
The term “Force Majeure” means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to War, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, Acts or Regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, natural disasters, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline

What time does the conference start and finish?
The conference will start at 8:30am and finish at 5:00pm on Wednesday 18 July.
What should I wear to the conference?
Smart Dress/Business Attire. Please bring a jacket/cardigan as the conference rooms can get quite cool.
What meals are included in my registration?
Delegates will receive morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Breakfast and dinner are at the delegates expense.
How do I access the discounted accommodation rates?
Special accommodation rates are offered to all delegates of the conference. These can only be accessed when booked through the conference registration form.
